Spring is here!
This means a lot of beautiful things: warmer weather, blooming flowers, spending time outdoors.
This also means one frustrating thing: there is an abundance of pollen outdoors and allergy season is in full bloom.
During this time of the year, I like to use allergy medicine to keep them from ruining my days, but I also supplement this with aromatherapy. I have found eucalyptus to be the most effective scent. Here are the top three ways I use eucalyptus aromatherapy to beat my allergies:
- I keep a bottle of eucalyptus essential oil in my shower. When I jump in, I spread some of the oil on the wall of the shower and on the floor. When the steam rises, the eucalyptus spreads into the air and not only do I smell great, but it clears my sinuses right up.
- I make my own cleaning products using eucalyptus. By infusing my cleaning products with this scent, I introduce the strong smell onto my countertops and on other surfaces of my home. I use white vinegar, some drops of dish soap, and about 6 drops of eucalyptus.
- I diffuse eucalyptus using my Aurorae Spa products. Aurorae has three different options for eucalyptus lovers: the pledge candle, the tea lights, and the three pack small tin candles. I always have at least one of these handy. Everyday I light one of them and the scent clears my head and keeps my allergies from getting out of control.
We hope you find some relief this allergy season so you can enjoy all the beautiful parts of spring! Do you have any of your own aromatherapy tips to battle allergies?
