For most of us, losing weight isn’t something that just happens; it has to be worked at. Eating healthy is a huge part of losing those last few holiday, pregnancy or any other excess poundage you may have. However, healthy eating usually takes planning; especially because most of us are trying to juggle jobs, families and everything else that comes along with those things.

So what does that mean exactly? Well, you need to think about what you are going to eat before you head out the door. That is why this week we decided to look into healthy meal planning. Whether you are looking for breakfast, lunch, supper or snacks, we have something for you to check out below.

Healthy Breakfast Recipes

Oatmeal: whether it is steel-cut oats or rolled oats, oatmeal is a great way to start your day. Particularly when you add some fresh fruit, milk, nuts and/or honey to it.

Greek yogurt: some of these can pack up to 22 grams of protein per serving! Serve it with some granola and fruit and you’ll have a very hearty breakfast that you can even eat as you walk out the door.

Grapefruit: have this before any meal and you can actually lose weight faster! Filled with fat-burning properties, this fruit positively affects insulin and blood sugar levels along with giving you tons of antioxidants.

Kale and Apple Salad: Rich with antioxidants, this salad will not only make you feel healthy, but full as well! Check out a recipe here.
